We are so incredibly excited to bring you Nite Jewel’s first album, Good Evening. Originally released on Gloriette Records in 2008, the expanded reissue features two bonus tracks, a cover of Can Forebear Inner Space’s “The Kamera Song” and a DaM-FunK remix of the Nite Jewel original “What Did He Say.” You can purchase Good Evening (Expanded Reissue) at SC Distribution, iTunes or at your local record store.
Nite Jewel took a moment out of her day at Midi Festival earlier this summer to perform a Gigsonlive acoustic session. Joined by a couple of back-up singers/swayers, Ramona performs “In The Dark” under the trees. Watch above.
Are you going to be at Austin’s Fun Fun Fun Festival in November? Make sure to fit Nite Jewel into your schedule!
Perhaps you could say this was a long time coming. Nite Jewel and Julia Holter have finally come together to collaborate on “What We See” for Dublab’s new Light From Los Angeles documentary compilation. You wouldn’t say they’re interchangeable, but the two women meld pretty perfectly, creating a song that touches on each of their best qualities. Premiering today at Pitchfork, the “What We See” video was directed by Delaney Bishop and Jose Wolff. Watch above.
