ANTONY AND THE JOHNSONS ‘Cripple and the Starfish’ Metal ‘Positive’ Stamper for Auction on eBay
POSTED BY on October 5th, 2009
A piece of ANTONY AND THE JOHNSONS recording history can be yours if you bid now. Antony’s former label, Durtro, is auctioning off the metalwork used to manufacture “Cripple and the Starfish,” a track that shared a 7″ single with Current 93’s “Immortal Bird.” The piece up for auction is the 12″ metal stamper, which plays the right way on a record player (as opposed to the positives, which are used to press the vinyl and play backward). This unique piece of Antony memorabilia is primarily for decorative purposes and would be a nice addition to any fan’s collection.
