Damien Jurado recorded a tribute to Dio, a cover of “Holy Diver,” that is currently on his myspace here. It’s proof that everything is better with a little bit of metal in it. Rest in Peace.

Hey Ivan, I think it was a pretty impromptu thing, so I’m not sure about a 7″. I’ll ask Damien if he’s going to upload an mp3 to his site, so stay tuned.

Beautiful cover. I’d love to hear more Dio this way. It reminds me of how Mark Kozelek turned AC/DC songs into things of beauty. It’s there mind you but it’s through the interpretations that we really hear it. Just pre-ordered Saint Bartlett… downloading now. Who says Monday’s suck?! Thanks for the music!
