Nightlands is Philadelphia multi-instrumentalist David Hartley. His All the Way 7″ may be the strange little brother to the enourmous lunar hymns of Forget the Mantra, yet it’s no less majestic. “All the Way” is like Jeff Lynne floating down Billy Joel’s “River of Dreams” on a drone raft. And it’s b-side, “Buggin’ Out,” is a seizure-inducing kraut experiment with a Hammond 144 and Casio/Korg overdubbing.
