Exitmusic’s Spooky, Romantic Video for “The Hours”

EXITMUSIC’s Stereogum-premiered, Will Joines-directed video for “The Hours,” a song from their forthcoming From Silence EP, is a perfect primer for the band’s sound. It’s both ghostly and powerful; gorgeous and foreboding. The song itself leans toward the powerful and anthemic side of that sound, as it’s glacial, ethereal post-rock builds and builds, a thousand cosmic clocks filling every gap.

And as Stereogum said regarding the video: “EXITMUSIC’s new dreamscape of a music video, ‘The Hours,’ has all sorts of spooky, romantic shit that Northrup Frye would be hyped about. Bleary, stark visions, twins, cascading smoke, spectral textures that gives the slow burn of a song a fitting visual counterpoint.”
