Antony and the Johnsons Debut New Video for “Cut The World”

Antony and the Johnsons share their brand new video for “Cut the World.” Premiering today on Pitchfork, it’s the previously unreleased title-track to the forthcoming live album. Directed by Nabil and shot in London, it’s a breathtaking piece of work with a statement. The cinematic short stars Willem Dafoe, who many of you will recognize from the Spider-Man triology and Carice Van Houten from “Game of Thrones” and Valkyrie. Performance artist Marina Ambramovic also appears in the video. Note – the short may not be suitable for all viewers. Watch above.

Antony originally wrote “Cut The World” for the opera The Life and Death of Marina Abramovic. A screening of the video will take place on August 11 at the Southbank Centre in London for the Antony-curated Meltdown Festival.

The new record comes out tomorrow, August 7. You can still pre-order Cut The World HERE.
