Tig Notaro has had a pretty unusual year. On her second album for Secretly Canadian, LIVE, we hear Tig recorded live at her show at Largo in LA after going through an intense breakup, losing her mother to a sudden death, and battling an almost fatal case of pneumonia all in the same year. Then, just a few hours before her set at the Los Angeles comedy club, Tig was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Get Tig’s fantastic sophomore album, first time in physical release, from Secretly Canadian Distribution which includes a seventeen minute companion recording of her set “Live At The Moth” from The Avalon Hollywood on December 5th. Read some reviews of the album and see more about her upcoming tour BELOW.
“What distinguishes her comedy is how forcefully it turns inward, drawing attention to its form, testing its limitis…her pleasingly strange concepts are executed with such conviction that they seem to develop an eccentric logic all their own”
– The New York Times
“In 27 years doing this, I’ve seen a handful of truly great, masterful standup sets. One was Tig Notaro last night at Largo.”
– Louis C.K.
“Tig Notaro just blew my mind at Largo. One of the most amazing stand-up sets I’ve ever seen”
– Ed Helms
