Stranger’s Kiss (Duet with Angel Olsen) (Official Video) by Alex Cameron on VEVO.

“On “Stranger’s Kiss,” Cameron’s duet with Angel Olsen, his ambition expands from insular synthpop to a sweeping, Springsteen-inspired ballad about a strange loneliness.” – THE FADER

Alex Cameron is set to release his sophomore album, Forced Witness, on September 8th. Having already shared the “devastating and danceable single” (NPR Music), “Candy May,” today the artist presents “Stranger’s Kiss,” an affecting duet with Angel Olsen that contains as much raw humanity as it does a savvy grasp of the impossible loneliness of the times. Directed by Jemima Kirke, the video stars Kirke alongside Cameron as a pair of destitute nobodies clinging to the relief of a strangers affection on the streets and subways of New York City.

It’s a fitting peek into the forthcoming Forced Witness, where Cameron’s solutions to the casual madness of today’s world involve danceable and dangerous earnestness. Cameron’s unflinchingly honest and sharp, and Forced Witness offers us vivid portraits of misfits looking at the world without illusion.
