ALBUM ANNOUNCE // Luke Temple Readies Solo Album ‘Good Mood Fool’, Releases Stream of “Katie” via SPIN

You may know him as the frontman of Here We Go Magic, however, Luke Temple will be releasing a new solo album, Good Mood Fool, through Secretly Canadian this October! In this solo effort, Luke pairs down his instrumentation to just his voice, a drum machine, a bass guitar, and a Juno-1 synthesizer. SPIN premiered the album’s poppy second track, “Katie”, this morning and you can listen to it above or HERE on YouTube.

Peep the track list and album artwork below and then pre-order Good Mood Fool at Secretly Canadian Distribution, Amazon, iTunes and your local record store. If you want to see Luke play his new solo material live, check him out this Thursday, July 25th at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn with TEEN and White Bike.

Here We Go Magic, Chuck Klosterman Team Up to Benefit Brooklyn Non-Profit

Sugar_art_page

Hey Brooklyn, how would you like to be serenaded and hear a story?

In August Here We Go Magic will join author and journalist Chuck Klosterman (Sex, Drugs and Cocoa Puffs) for an evening in the Show Off Your Sugar: One Band + One Author event series. Each event features a reading from an author, followed by a musical performance.

Sondre Lerche shared the stage with writer Shalom Auslander in June, and on August 19 Phosphorescent will play after a reading from Sloane Crosley. Here We Go Magic takes the stage for an acoustic set on August 11 at 8pm at CoCo66 (66 Greenpoint Avenue in Brooklyn). Tickets are $16 and all the money goes to a good cause! The proceeds go to the 826NYC non-profit writing center, formed by Dave Eggers in 2002 to benefit  New York City students. Get your tickets & find more info HERE.
