Did you manage to squeeze Late Night with Jimmy Fallon into your evening programing last night? If so, you must have seen Major Lazer performing “Get Free,” a cut from their soon-to-be-released Free The Universe. Twas the group’s television debut and a damn good one at that. Joining Diplo and the gang is Amber Coffman, who works some serious vocal magic during the performance. Watch above.
Make sure to add Major Lazer your Coachella experience. Starts this weekend!
It’s the season…TOUR SEASON! Yeasayer are currently en route to the West Coast, playing two shows before they reach the madness that is Coachella. The fun doesn’t stop there, though. Dates also include The Governors Ball, Summerfest, 80/35, Electric Forest and Kanrockasas festivals. See the full list of dates below!
Don’t leave just yet! Go ahead and watch Yeasayer perform “Reagan’s Skeleton” live – video . It’s a track from 2012’s Fragrant World.
Good afternoon friends. Yeasayer bring you (via Stereogum) their new remix of Tegan and Sara’s “Closer.” From the very start you will recognize Yeasayer’s electric touch. The original is found on T&S’s Heartthrob. Listen below!
Yeasayer have a handful of festival dates coming up! You can see them at Coachella, Governors Ball and Ultra Music Festivals! Details HERE.
In a matter of days, Gardens & Villa will embark on a North American tour, sharing dates with both The Shins and Fanfarlo. Not only will be you be able to see the boys in various venues across the country, but also at some of the major festivals happening this year. After a stint at the Snowball Music Festival, the boys will head to perform at 35 Denton Festival, SXSW, Coachella, and finally end their tour with Sasquatch!
Gardens & Villa is the gift that keeps on giving. Just when we thought we’d have to wait for the EP to hear anything new from Santa Barara’s loveliest gang, G&V throws us a bone. And believe me, it’s a pretty cool bone. As part of the 27th Santa Barbara International Film Festival, the boys are composing an original film score to F.W. Murnau’s silent film, “Faust.” G & V will perform the music live on February 4th at Lobero Theatre. The event is co-presented by the New Noise Music Foundation and falls under the festival’s new Cinesonic facet. You can get your tickets HERE.
In other awesome news, GARDENS & VILLA ARE PLAYING THIS YEAR’S COACHELLA. Please try to contain your excitement; it’s been extremely difficult to do so over here. You can see them on both weekends of the festival. Checkout the LINEUP.
