LISTEN // Anand Wilder And Maxwell Kardon Share “I’m To Blame”, New Album ‘Break Line The Musical’ Out July 14th Via Mute / 15th (US)

Premiering this morning on Consequence of Sound, Anand Wilder [Yeasayer] and Maxwell Kardon share the second track off new album Break Line The Musical, out July 15th in North America via Secretly Canadian / July 14th rest of world via Mute. Listen to the second track off the album “I’m To Blame” above or on our YouTube / Soundcloud.

Pre-order the new album via iTunes, Amazon, SC Distribution, and from your local record store.

Break Line The Musical is a new album that harkens back to rock concept albums of the early 70′s with this following the classic arc of lost love, betrayal, and pride.

This record has been in the works since 2008 when Anand and Maxwell put together a band with Ira Wolf Tuton (Yeasayer) on bass and Christopher Powell (Man Man) on drums. Britt Myers (Charlift, Yeasayer, Passing Strange) then assisted with recording while they stayed up late experimenting with sounds and arrangements. Also included on the notable roster is Austin Fisher (Suckers), Haley Dekle (Dirty Projectors), James Richardson (MGMT), Chris Keating (Yeasayer), Ryan Kattner (Man Man), and Aku Orraca-Tetteh (Dragons of Zynth).

what you see is really what you’re seeing // SUUNS Share New “2020″ Music Video & Album Pre-Order

Suuns bring you their new video for the song “2020.” Directed by Sabrina Ratte, the video is a dazzling walk through Suuns live performance, shaken up with strobes and moving geometric shapes. What you see is really what you’re seeing – watch the video above or at Consequence of Sound, where it premiered this morning.

In addition to the new video, we are happy to share the pre-order for Suuns’ sophomore album, Images Du Futur. Out on March 5, the record is available at SC Distribution, Amazon and iTunes (comes with a free download of “2020″). When you order the deluxe bundle from SCD, you’ll receive Images Du Futur on CD and Lavender Smog colored vinyl (while supplies last), Zeroes QC vinyl, glossy poster featuring the cover art and a digital download of the new album (redeemable immediately upon purchase).

WATCH // Here We Go Magic Live at Off the Avenue, Put it All on the Line with a Game of Foosball

Here We Go Magic are in the midst of their European tour, finishing up an incredibly successful year in support of A Different Ship. Consequence of Sound share a bit of a gem; they recently got Here We Go Magic in the studio for one of their Off the Avenue sessions. Watch them perform “A Different Ship,” “I Believe in Action” and “Make Up Your Mind” above!

The fun does not stop there! The fine folks behind Les inRocks lured Luke and Pete into a fine game of foosball and then sat them down for a chat to learn exactly how these two became interested in music. The video ends with a live performance at Paris’s Divan Du Monde for the festival. Catch up with one-half of HWGM – watch the video HERE.

Here We Go Magic spend the remainder of this week at the best of the UK’s stadiums, playing in support of Elbow. You will find all their dates HERE.
