“Danielson: A Family Movie” theatrical release expanded to more cities

Following successful runs in New York, Chicago, Austin, Seattle and Bloomington, Indiana over the holidays, DANIELSON: A FAMILY MOVIE rolls into Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, DC and Portland, Oregon all through January (and a little bit into February.)

Los Angeles: Laemmle Grande 4-plex * Jan 19 – 25
San Francisco: Red Vic Movie House * Jan 25 – 27
Boston: Coolidge Corner Theatre * Feb 2 & 3 (midnite)
Portland, OR: NW Film Center * Jan 17 at 7pm
Washington, DC : Ebenezers * Jan 21 at 7:30pm

Here’s what one of the critics are saying:
?Elvis had his lascivious hips. Dylan had his electricity. Here?s a rock rebel whose rebellion is the result of faith, imagination, and a stable, encouraging home life. It takes a pretty impressive film not to stumble over such rich contradictions. Danielson: a Family Movie observes each one with grace, optimism, and curiosity.?

DANIELSON: A FAMILY MOVIE now in theatres!

This past weekend we ushered in yet another chapter in the enigmatic story of the Danielson Family as we held an opening reception for the launching of the new movie “Danielson: A Family Movie (or, Make A Joyful Noise HERE)” by J.L. Aronson, at the Cinemat here in Bloomington. Amidst libations, cake, and giveaways, the movie was played to a near capacity crowd, with many oohs, aahs, and applause. Get the specifics on the movie, and when it will be coming to a theatre near you directly below.

What its all about……
“Danielson: a Family Movie” follows multi-media artist and musician Daniel
Smith as he creates a musical phenomenon using his siblings and friends,
eventually facing the struggle to realize his solo identity once the family
members begin their own adult lives. Co-starring Sufjan Stevens and
featuring cameos by Rick Moody, Daniel Johnston, and Steve Albini, the
feature doc takes on issues such as creativity vs accessibility, Christian
faith vs popular culture and family vs individuality.
