LSTN // Jens Lekman Releases Brand New Song – “Olivia & Maddy”

Jens Lekman has a brand new song for your listening pleasure. Tis no ordinary song; the backstory to this diddy is quite the tale. During Hurricane Sandy last November, Jens Lekman’s pianist, Jonas, was stuck in New York City with no way of getting to the West Coast to resume touring. Jens reached out to the world, asking if anyone could help get Jonas to Boston, where he could catch a flight. Two girls, Oliva and Maddy (THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU), ended up driving Jonas to Boston and in return for their kindness, Jens said he would write them a song! He’s made good on his promise and shared his new track, “Olivia & Maddy” – listen below! Read more about this heart-warming act on Jens’s blog, Small Talk.

“Rare is the piece of art (and even rarer the comedy album) that covers this much emotional ground, getting to the point that its sometimes unclear whether the tears are due to laughing so hard or just from the seemingly hopeless pain of it all. Besides being joyously engaging, Notaro’s resounding strength makes this album something that lifts the soul of the listener as much as it entertains.” – TIME
