Listen to the second track off the album “I’m To Blame” above or on our YouTube / Soundcloud.

Break Line The Musical is a new album that harkens back to rock concept albums of the early 70′s with this following the classic arc of lost love, betrayal, and pride.

This record has been in the works since 2008 when Anand and Maxwell put together a band with Ira Wolf Tuton (Yeasayer) on bass and Christopher Powell (Man Man) on drums. Britt Myers (Charlift, Yeasayer, Passing Strange) then assisted with recording while they stayed up late experimenting with sounds and arrangements. Also included on the notable roster is Austin Fisher (Suckers), Haley Dekle (Dirty Projectors), James Richardson (MGMT), Chris Keating (Yeasayer), Ryan Kattner (Man Man), and Aku Orraca-Tetteh (Dragons of Zynth).

ARTIST ANNOUNCE // Electric Youth Releases “Innocence” Video Dir. By Ivan Grbovic, Signs To Secretly Canadian

Secretly Canadian is thrilled to welcome Electric Youth to the family. Based out of Toronto, the electronic pop duo includes Austin Garrick and Bronwyn Griffin. Their song “A Real Hero” (a collaboration with French producer College) became wildly popular after its appearance in the 2011 film “Drive,” directed by Danish filmmaker Nicolas Winding Refn. The song, which has surpassed 18 million plays on YouTube, is only a preview of what is to come.

In late 2013, Electric Youth teased a new album including the pulsing track “Innocence.” In the new video for the track directed by Ivan Grbovic we see the the music at its most grand and cinematic, but still very human. “Innocence” will be included on Electric Youth‘s debut album, due this fall. Watch the video above or here on the band’s YouTube / Vevo. More info coming soon.

For more info on the band follow them on Twitter, Facebook, and their Soundcloud.

WATCH // Tomas Barfod Shares ‘Happy’ Video Via Noisey Premiere, ‘Pulsing’ EP Out Now

We’ve all danced alone at home to our favorite song. The only difference with the man in Tomas Barfod’s newest video for “Happy” is that his dancing is accompanied by a perfectly timed light show and I would say he is a much more talented dancer compared to my “get down” skills. While you gather your surge protectors and the neighborhood kids to hit the “On/Off” switch at just the right time, take a look at a master at work by watching the new video for “Happy” directed by Jakob Marky above via Noisey‘s premiere or here on our YouTube channel.

Happy features the vocals of Eddie Chacon. If you want to listen while you attempt to dance just like the man above you can hear it on our Soundcloud.

The track is taken from Barfod’s recently released Pulsing EP which you can get on iTunes here.

Tomas has a few tour dates coming up including a show in London at Birthdays on May 8th.
