Merry Christmas! Damien Jurado Shares New Holiday Song & Video

Tis the season! Damien Jurado has recorded his first original Christmas song. “Kalla Has” was created alongside Seattle musician Kyle Zantos, with strings performed by Sam Anderson. All Are Welcome In // Damien Jurado Performs Live at eMusic, ‘Maraqopa Deluxe Edition’ Now Available

While in New York earlier this fall, Damien Jurado stopped by the eMusic offices to perform songs from his critically acclaimed album, Maraqopa. Today, we get the first glimpse of the live sessions, filmed by Oresti Tsonopoulos. “All are welcome in.” Watch Damien perform “Maraqopa” and “Museum of Flight” above.

Damien Jurado Announces Tour Dates with Ben Gibbard, Shares New Video of Haldern Pop Fest & A Playlist To Paint To

Starting later this fall, Damien Jurado heads out on the road with Ben Gibbard. They’ll stick to the West Coast, making stops in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Portland and finally Damien’s hometown, Seattle. See new dates below. In addition to those shows, Damien will headline New York’s Mercury Lounge in October and then join up with Sharon Van Etten. Dates HERE. Lastly, Damien performs at Raleigh’s Hopscotch Festival in just a few weeks!

Whether with his live band or playing solo, Damien has turned his live show into quite an event. Filmed at Germany’s Haldern Pop Festival, the video above catches Damien fully immersed in his element. Singing whole-heartedly along, the crowd is right there with him from the very start. Frank TV Captures Little Scream Live in Washington’s Wilderness

Local Seattle video producers Frank TV caught up with Little Scream while they were in town earlier this month. Above you can watch Little Scream perform “The Lamb” amidst the Washington state wilderness lit by just a scant string of lights and flashlights floating around. It’s a simple set up, but one that works to glorious effect. Little Scream has a few more live dates before years end. Catch em in Washington DC, Philly, and New York in the coming weeks. Damien Jurado Release Day Celebration!

Happy Saint Bartlett Day! There are two big Damien Jurado events to kick off the release today in Seattle.

First is a live in-studio performance at KEXP at noon PST / 3pm EST during the Midday show with Cheryl Waters.  It’s easy as pie to tune in at itunes or at their site.

Second is an in-store performance at Sonic Boom‘s Ballard location.  It starts at 6:30 pm, is free and all-ages, and you can very easily pick up your new copy of Saint Bartlett at the same time.  I bet he’ll even cover Dio if you ask reallllllll nice.
