FRIDAY LISTENING // SUUNS Remixed By Archie Pelago

Welcome to Friday – your oneway train to freedom. Soundtrack that ride with the new Suuns remix. Images Du Futur’s “2020″ gets the house treatment from Brooklyn’s Archie Pelago. Stream above or at FACT Magazine, where it premiered earlier today.

“In their hands, ’2020′ becomes a muggy house cut, decorated with jittery horns and treated strings a la The Books.”FACT Magazine

Tour fun! Suuns are playing Le Zaricot tonight with We Are Wolves. See their full list of dates, including SXSW, HERE. You can stay in the know with SUUNS-related tour announcements by checking out the #sctour13 and #scfest13 hashtags on Twitter.

Pre-Order // Cayucas’s – ‘BIGFOOT,’ Dungeonesse Remix “Cayucos”

With a much anticipated (and needed) summer nearing, Cayucas’s album could not be available for pre-order at a better time. For starters, when you pre-order Bigfoot at SC Distribution you’ll be able to download the entire album immediately; this means you have at least a solid month to memorize all the lyrics in preparation for summer drives and swims soundtracked by Cayucas. Your ordering options include the album vinyl or CD formats; plus a deluxe bundle (shown above) featuring the album on both LP (first 100 orders get translucent blue vinyl) & CD, a Cayucas beach ball and 17 x 22″ glossy poster featuring Bigfoot album art.

We’re keeping it all in the family. Cayucas’s “Cayucos” was recently remixed by labelmates Dungeonesse and it’s, well, perfect. You can check out the reworked track below or at YVYNYL where it premiered this morning!

FINALLY – do not forget to check out Cayucas at SXSW next week. You’ll find their complete schedule and other tour dates HERE.

WATCH // SUUNS Premiere “Edie’s Dream” Music Video at NOISEY, Announce Spring Tour Dates

VICE’s Noisey brings you the new music video for SUUNS’ “Edie’s Dream.” Directed by SUUNS themselves, the video follows a mysterious girl through the Quebec woods. It’s the same area where the band spent time writing and recording Images Du Futur. SUUNS tell us,”At first, ‘Edie’s Dream’ started as a kind of nightmare, with burial themes and the cold and lonely woods. But gradually, it melted into a kind of bittersweet daydream. Edie is stunning, she is family to the band and at only 13, she carries herself with the poise and confidence of someone who understands the music, understands the cold, understands dreaming and its different layers.” WATCH ABOVE!

SUUNS are going on tour! They will head south for Austin’s SXSW this March. Then it’s back to Canada and over to Europe for a long stretch of shows! See the full list below!

Exitmusic Featured on Bob Boilen’s SXSW Highlights, On Tour Now!

Exitmusic made their inaugural stop at Austin’s SXSW last week. Playing EIGHT shows, they were sure to grab attention of festival-goers while they were there. Bob Boilen, a name we all recognize from NPR’S All Song’s Considered, stopped by the DOC/JAG/SC showcase at Mohawk on Thursday night and EM, although playing in the dark, made their mark. In his SXSW Musical and Not So Musical Highlights, Boilen called Exitmusic a “perfect roar of sound steeped in Radiohead and Sigur Ros but full of talent in voice and texture. A real aural feast.Watch Boilen’s clip of EM performing “The Sea” above!

New York’s The Alternate Side got in on the SXSW action, asking EM to document their trip down South. Read it all from Aleksa’s viewpoint HERE. Photos too!

Aleksa and Devon also sat down with MTV2‘s Matt Pinfield in his 120 Mintues segment for a wee little chat about this and that. It’s video number 14 in the segment! Check it out HERE.

FINALLY, see Exitmusic live in concert!! Sharing dates with A Place to Bury Strangers, The Joy Formidable and School of Seven Bells, it’s likely they’ll be in a city near you! Check all the dates HERE!
