Watch Tig Notaro on Conan’s After-Hours Stand-up Series

After two appearances on Conan, Tig Notaro returns to After-Hours Stand-Up for an extended performance telling her now infamous tale about 90s pop performer Taylor Dayne. Watch the “brilliant set” above! The New York Times featured Tig earlier this week, saying “what distinguishes her comedy is how forcefully it turns inward, drawing attention to its form, testing its limits… her pleasingly strange concepts are executed with such conviction that they seem to develop an eccentric logic all their own.” Read the article HERE.

Want to help Tig with her new short-film? Head over to her Kickstarter! She’s raising funds to assist in the making of Clown Service, where “a heartbroken woman (Tig Notaro), desperate for a brighter mood, enlists the services of a traveling party clown.” Incentives include everything from a signed sticker from Tig’s podcast Professor Blastoff, to a private stand-up performance by Tig at your house (!!!!!!!!).

*Photo by Willie Davis for The New York Times

For the past month, Nite Jewel has been hard at work touring in support of Chairlift. Tuesday night she took a step aside to headline her first show at the Bowery Ballroom. Sophia Knapp and Mac DeMarco opened the night, while Nite Jewel took her guests through slam dunk renditions of songs both old and new. Ben Ratliff of The New York Times was there to catch it all, saying, “It was an intense, joyous little set, full of precision, engagement and life force.” Read the full review HERE.

Nite Jewel’s next show takes place at Los Angeles’ Ford Amphitheatre for the Krautrock Classics: An Evening of Cosmic German Music. More information on artists and tickets HERE. Ramona will take her show abroad this summer; European dates to come soon!
