Throw Me The Statue Performs on The Song Show Podcast

For those of you who have been wondering what Throw Me The Statue have been up to recently, you’ll be glad to hear a new record is in the works. In the meantime, however, Scott Reitherman took a trip up to Seattle to play four songs for the The Song Show podcast, curated by City Arts. Watch Reitherman perform “Conquering Kids” above.

“Much was the same – the undeniable hooks, Reitherman’s mumblecore vocals – but the songs were further afield from conventional pop songcraft, eschewing the familiar for layered soundscapes that swelled, bounced and slashed. – City Arts
