“Keep It Steady” b/w “United Or Lost Alone”

Yes, just as the leaves begin to pile in the yard and the skate ramps get stacked in the garage, the new Fall season offers us a new 7″ single by Songs: Ohia. Frontman Jason Molina stepped into Chicago’s Electrical Audio recording studio all by his lonesome, where Steve Albini recorded these two eerie tunes. These two old live favorites, “Keep It Steady” and “United or Lost Alone”, performed sparingly with just Molina’s voice and his baritone guitar, should provide the perfect morose lullaby and a nice segue into the new year which will bring the new full-band Songs: Ohia long-player (entitled Magnolia Elec Co and also recorded with Albini), which is the most up-beat and exciting album by Molina & Co. to date.
