“Big Let Down” b/w “Make Up Your Mind”

Since 1995, Jurado has been releasing some of the most incredible moody pop records for his hometown label Sub Pop. After four full-lengths, a half-dozen singles and enough critical acclaim to place him squarely at the forefront of important contemporary songwriters, Jurado embarks on a new journey in a new home. With this inaugural release by Jurado on Secretly Canadian, we find Jurado in an especially raw mood. The two songs on the single, “Big Let Down” and “Make Up Your Mind”, are from the vaults and feature Jurado on guitar and vocals and Pedro the Lion front-man Dave Bazan on the drum-kit. Fans should keep their eyes peeled for the new Damien Jurado full-length due for release in February 2003 on Secretly Canadian.
