Alex Cameron – Far From Born Again
This morning, Cherry Glazerr, the Los Angeles based trio led by 22-year-old frontwoman Clementine Creevy, premiered a Reggie Watts remix of “Daddi” via Highsnobiety. “Daddi” is the “itchy, pressurized panic attack” (Stereogum) lead single from their album Stuffed & Ready, which was released earlier this year via Secretly Canadian.
Watts – a renowned musician and comedian – reimagines it, expanding “Daddi” into a driving club track with quick, anxious beats. Says Creevy: “I think a lot of rock musicians secretly would love to make a club floor banger – and Reggie helped us get there with his amazing booty shaking remix of ‘Daddi.’”
Cherry Glazerr have been touring almost nonstop behind Stuffed & Ready since its February release. Next up are festival appearances including Bonnaroo, Hyde Park London (with Florence + The Machine and The National), Benicassim in Spain, Outside Lands and Austin City Limits.

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot has proclaimed August 30th to be Whitney Day in Chicago to celebrate the release of the band’s sophomore album, 'Forever Turned Around,' out that day. Throughout August 30th, fans will have a chance to celebrate with the band around the city.
Shura has today released second album forevher. Written primarily about Shura’s relationship with her girlfriend and their long-distance conception, forevher covers everything from the initial pull of desire to recognizing the moment when the connection develops into something scarily meaningful: it’s a classic NYC-to-London love-story, but one told through the totally modern filter of dating apps, unanswered texts, and Skype chats.
Alex Cameron releases Miami Memory, his new album and love letter to his partner, on September 13th via Secretly Canadian. Following previously released singles “Divorce” and “Miami Memory,” Cameron now presents a new single/video, “Far From Born Again,” which “celebrates the legitimacy of the independent sex worker, and casts a light on the humans that provide the service to millions worldwide.”
Whitney - the Chicago-based band led by vocalist/drummer Julien Ehrlich and guitarist Max Kakacek - shares a new single/video, “Used To Be Lonely,” from their forthcoming album, Forever Turned Around, out August 30th via Secretly Canadian. It follows the previously released singles, “Valleys (My Love)” and “Giving Up.”
