Here’s a new video for Nite Jewel’s “Weak for Me”, found first at VICE’s Noisey! Directed by Jose Wolff (“Clive”), the video features a dancing Ramona and lots of geometric shapes. “Weak For Me” is off Ramona’s Good Evening, which we just rereleased earlier this week. You will find Good Evening Expanded Reissue at SC Distribution.
“We could call Nite Jewel a “gem,” but it would be way too damn easy. LA’s Ramona Gonzalez makes dance music with an intimate, tactile twist, dunked in a viscous mix of 80s glitter and 90s lo-fi.” – Noisey
Premiering this morning at The Guardian, the new Jose Wolff directed video for Nite Jewel’s “Clive” is bare bones and beautiful. Featuring a dark-clad Ramona swaying in front of a white wall, the video could not be more befitting of her gorgeous ballad. As the camera cuts to different angles, you’re never fully away from Ramona. The video ends, but her voice lingers in your ears. Watch above.

Nite Jewel’s “Clive” has been given the Dntel remix treatment. Sped up and chopped to pieces, the new track begs to be moved to. Spin says, “Where once he launched shy confessions into a then-futuristic realm, now Tamborello successfully casts Nite Jewel’s prayerful repose in a strange new light, glimmering of the dance floor but introspective enough for solitary headphone listens.”LISTEN TO THE REMIX AT SPIN.
Nite Jewel takes over NYC’s Bowery Ballroom on April 24th. See her live with Sophia Knapp. Purchase your tickets HERE.
