Three SECRETLY CANADIAN entries in PLUG Awards

Three SECRETLY CANADIAN nominations have been selected for the 2007 PLUG Awards. Danielson’s video for “DId I Step On Your Trumpet” is head to head with I Love You But I’ve Chosen Darkness’ video for “The Owl” for Best Video Of The Year. Secretly Canadian is nominated for Best Record Label Of The Year.

DANIELSON’s new video available as part of SC Podcast, Band prep for European tour

DANIELSON has unveiled its brilliant new Christiaan Palladino-directed video for “Did I Step On Your Trumpet?” which you can watch from your web browser HERE or see it with a bonus audio introduction by Daniel Smith as the second installment of the new SECRETLY CANADIAN PODCAST.

DANIELSON American Tour Dates Announced

DANIELSON’s summer blockbuster “Ships” is coming out May 11 on Secretly Canadian, and DANIELSON are hitting the American road to support this beautiful new full-length for a month. Not all dates are confirmed yet, but we’re getting new confirmations daily. Check our tour dates page for complete listing of all confirmations.

Three New DANIELSON Singles Out This Month

In celebration of the May 9th release of the mammoth new Danielson full-length SHIPS (Secretly Canadian), the band is releasing three unique, limited edition (1,500) 7″ singles on three totally different esteemed labels.
? “Dry Goods Dry Power” / “Left-Handed Smoke Shifter” is being released by Sounds Familyre. It was recorded at Electrical Audio Studios by Steve Albini, and finds Daniel Smith with his friends Edith Frost and Darin Gray (Grand Ulena / Brice Glace / Dazzling Killmen) playing and singing along to rhythms created by Daniel’s Heartbeat, and someone knocking on a door.
? “I’m Slow But I’m Sloppy” / “Did I Step On Your Remix” is being released by Anticon. The former is a song performed and produced by Why? and the latter is an album track remixed by J. Christiaan Palladino.
? “When It Comes To You I’m Lazy” / “Goody Goody” is being released on Kill Rock Stars. Both songs are produced by Kramer.

DANIELSON Documentary Trailer Online, Ships Sneak-Peek On Myspace

JL Aaronson’s much-anticipated Danielson documentary DANIELSON: A FAMILY MOVIE is set to premiere at the South by Southwest Music, Film and Interactive Conference and Festival (SXSW) in Austin this March. There is now a trailer available online. There will also be a sneak preview as part of the San Francisco Independent Film Festival on February 7, and the film will be screened as part of the New York Underground Film Festival.
Also, you can get a sneak preview to the upcoming Danielson full-length SHIPS, as “Did I Step On Your Trumpet?” is now streaming on Danielson’s Myspace Page.
